Watchmen on the Wall

Watchmen on the Wall

When we repent, believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are ready to walk out our destiny by the guiding of His Holy Spirit. Many people in the body of Christ are always wondering within themselves, “what is God calling me to do” or what is my destiny on the earth? I wondered about that many times, and sometimes now having to go back to refresh my memory and heart through scripture, concerning what I know He is and has called me to do.

When I was very young, words of knowledge, and prophecy were spoken over my life, but most importantly, it was that knowing and moving of the Spirit of God within me later when I received the Holy (Spirit) Ghost. When I sit before the Lord in prayer, supplication, and in silence, my spirit is quieted with confirmation and assurance from the Lord by His spirit, that I am on the path He has called me to walk.

I have noticed when looking back over my life, that when things or situations began to look different or obstacles come against me on this path, they always have a propensity to cause doubt, or a wondering spirit (which is not of God) to come to my mind. It would cause me to wonder if I am on the right path…  wondering if I made the right choice in that situation, etc. Being in a state of limbo, kept me from realizing that I serve a big God and He chose this path for me.

My God is able to keep me in perfect peace, when I keep my mind stayed on Him, because I trusts him.  (Isaiah 26:3). As the peace of God overshadowed me, and I remembered His promises, I was moved to continue walking the path, even thou I don’t know where it will take me.

Great assurance comes when I realized that the path I’m walking was destined by God, so it is His agenda and why would He want me to fail. Remembering and believing this, is a game changer in my life on all levels, and this is not a one-time happening. I have had to make this a part of my life’s journey. There is a real enemy out to steal, kill, and destroy, but remembering that Jesus is my shepherd and He will go before me, makes all the difference. [John 10: 10 – 11]. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Another point of reference in my walk, is remembering and understanding the many ways God shaped my life while walking my journey. It is with twisting, turnings, ridicules, subjection to higher authorities who sometimes are hard task masters, door closings, often overlooked, the season of waiting, and many more.

Without any doubt in my mind, I knew God foreknew the things that would encompass my path, and that also, He would deliver me through it all. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. [Jeremiah 29:11 – 13].

There were/and are times of growth, trials, mishaps, life altering changes, loneliness, and especially the wilderness times of waiting, but it was/is all for the purpose and plan of God for my life. God never sends us out unprepared, or ill equipped for His work. If we go ahead of Him, He will not leave us, but we will have to go through a re-training period, with consequences.  2 Timothy 3:16 -17, 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Hebrews 13:21 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Whenever He brings us back into His classroom for rest and refreshment, re-direction, the cutting away the garments of the last season; for new strategies and battle wear for the upcoming season, we never know the timeline of this with God.  He only knows, and He is in no hurry. In this, His plan and purpose is to bring us into wholeness with Him.

There were many directions and courses of preparation the Lord took me through then, and yet taking me through now. I don’t regret any of the sufferings, trials and tribulations of the journey, because these times proves to be of such value in my life and has helped to catapult me to where I am today and where I'm going.

I am not afraid because I know there will be more trials, tribulations of such, before I go to be with the Lord.  As 1 Peter 4:12-13 states “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”

I want to make full use of the time given to me by the Most High God Jehovah, to finish strong with holy and righteous living, doing what I have been called and ordained to do, in Jesus name. Amen!

What? You Mean Ordinary People Can Be Watchmen?

Many of us remember growing up enjoying different adventures, neighborhood explorations, make believes, and various fun events. We can remember how fascinated we were to involve ourselves in opportunities and activities that were new and interesting, which kept our full attention for hours. We instantly knew this was something we enjoyed being a part of, or that we wanted to continue doing this as we got older. I know that’s what happened to me. I enjoyed and felt humbled when I could assist someone in difficult situations. It didn’t make me feel prideful, or that I had been blessed more than others, it just felt good in my heart.

Mom and dad always taught us to be thankful for what we had, and to be willing to share with others with whatever we had with a glad heart. We never considered ourselves as being poor, because mom and dad knew how to stretch what we had and make it look great and/or taste good. There were times I didn’t quite understand why I felt so drawn to helping the less fortunate, and to bring healing and deliverance to those suffering.

I would hear scriptures stating how Peter, Paul and the rest of the Apostles had power from Jesus to heal the sick, cast out devils and I wanted to be like them. They were always helping people spiritually and naturally. I was fascinated of every aspect of the prophetic.  I felt if God gave them gifts, anointings and power to do the things they did, he would give me that same power, gift, and understanding of His Word.

I knew deep down, it was something I had to be involved in. Maybe, because when I was about 6 years old, mom told me when she was almost 30 and couldn’t have children, she and grandmother (dad’s mom) agreed in prayer to the Lord, that if He would bless her with a child, she would give that child back to Him – and so I was that child. She always instilled in me that I was a special child, and in God’s perfect timing, He would reveal to me the work he had for me to do.

My mom went on to have six other children, and it was a miracle because the doctor had told her, she would never have children.  Growing up, I always felt I was called to a different beat of drums I was hearing. I didn’t understand at the time, but I knew there was much more to the Christian walk.

As I got older, I began to realize that God had a special interest in me because of the commitment of faith mom made by offering me back to him. As prophetic dreams, visions, discernment of spirits, and a hunger to pray began to manifest through me, I was a somewhat afraid. Since I seemed to be operating in some of the gifts in the bible, many people thought I had all I needed. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Romans 11:29.

Later in life, I realized I needed the keeper, the comforter, the advocate…I needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ghost) so I could operate with power.  My mom was a great help to me, but some of the experiences I was having were unknown to her. These were my teenage years, and I was being used by God to help in certain areas, but I didn’t have power. It was years later that I came to understand that God had made covenant with me in my mother’s womb, and that this would be my walk if I chose to do so.

As I traveled through the path God had for me, I learned many things about the self-will God has given us. I was also told about the pitfalls the enemy uses to seek after and take the seed that had been placed inside of me by the Lord. He was also after the ministry that would follow if I kept my eyes focused on what God desires for my life, in Him.

I mentioned the above exerts of some of my younger days, because it shows how God had been guiding me towards my destiny in him, all my life. It wasn’t until years later that I began to understand the road, the plan, and the direction God was taking me. Sometimes, I would ask God if He was sure about taking me down a certain path He seemed to be opening and gently pulling me through.

I wasn’t sure about some of those paths because they weren’t going in the direction I thought I should be going at the time, but when I began to learn more and more how to trust Him, I could understand better.

There have been many bumps, many start-overs, many back-ups/losses, and turning completely around, in order that I may know the specificity (the quality or state of being specific) of what He has for me, and it still baffles me at times. There were many days I wanted to leave the lane God had me in, to crossover and join another group in another lane. It just seemed so perfect at the time because they seemed to be making great progress from where the place I was standing. How could it hurt mr, or how could it be the wrong thing to do…I would say to myself.

Sometimes, we allow our “it just makes sense, or God must be opening this door” get in the way of us seeking God for clarity and peace in our spirit. We may say to ourselves and others, - since we are performing almost the same type of service to others, this would be a great opportunity for us to bring our ministries together, so we can do more together, and our reasoning would be - there is more power and strength in numbers. I learned, and still learning that God has a divine plan for each one of us, and often times than not, we have to walk alone in our wilderness while being prepared. ”And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [Romans 8:28].  Sometimes our reasoning, without committing it to the Lord first, proves unwise. Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established). Proverbs 16:3.

Many Individuals are called to be watchmen in different arenas, but some become disheartened believing they can’t be effective without holding some type of degree or be well known in elite church groups, makes them feel unworthy and they give up.

If we are not watchful, we will feed into the lies the   the enemy bombard our minds with, to throw us off the path and keep us stagnated and in fear.

Your call could be in upper levels of business, nursing, different areas of education such as teacher, principal, lunchroom staff, crossing guard, police, community, local, state, federal     government or anywhere there are people in need of help and prayer. With love and compassion in your heart for people, God could do exploits with Your mission from God would always be to bring light to a dark place, praying and pulling down strongholds, encouraging, being a watchman over whatever arena God has positioned you, interceding for souls, and doing the work of the Lord in love. It doesn’t matter to God if you are a janitor, cook, usher, or parking attendant. If that's where you are, more likely you were guided there by His Spirit. Amen! God can use you anywhere, in any occupation, and He does not limit His anointing only to people with influential titles or positions in churches, or elsewhere. God uses the weak, broken, and ordinary people to accomplish His Will in the earth.

Remember David and Goliath, Moses setting His people free, Mary the teenager to be the mother of our Messiah, and Simeon Peter, an ordinary fisherman, and so many other common folk God had called and anointed in these end times.

You may be one of those ordinary people, who will bring about world changing events, deliverance by setting captives free, standing in the gap until a change is made, or so many other kingdom agenda works of the Lord.

We are thankful for the leaders, such as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers in the body of Christ who are truly filled with the Holy Ghost and are sounding the trumpet. God has also anointed and appointed people who are less known, un-educated by the world or church standards, who are mere floor members who love and agree with kingdom agenda for the end times. These will be lovers of God and don’t want any recognition or high positions in the sight of man. These will be anointed with knowledge, insight, strategic ideas for His work, and will only be concerned for God’s perfect will to be done; for we know it is only by His Spirit, who enables us to do exploits.

When we are operating under the anointing of the Holy Spirit (Ghost) and have yielded our body and mind to the Lord, He will use us for his kingdom in some capacity of watching and by helping to bring souls into the kingdom. There are people specifically called to certain paths of service in this life, and that is awesome, but what if you have not been mantled by God to walk in that calling? Would you just sit?

What about your workplace where there is so much confusion and sin manifesting all over, and the Holy Spirit leads you to start praying and interceding without anyone knowing what you are doing. Sometimes He open doors to places we wouldn’t think twice about being employed or walking inside, so we can see His righteous right hand working through us.  It is because of His will and plan you are chosen for that very mission. Never-mind being thought of the least likely in other people minds, you are it. Would you do it, would you go, or would you shy away because you think you are a nobody, and you ask yourself why would people listen to me?

If you are a born-again believer, filled with His Spirit, and are obedient to the Word of God, why not you. The Holy Spirit gives you the authority to pray, intercede, petition God for people.

When the Holy Spirit puts in your heart to do something, and you know it is the Lord by His Spirit prompting, you have the power and authority to stand in the gap, for you are already equipped to do what God is asking of you. He has been shaping you from your very beginning, you just didn’t know it.

Acts 2:16 - 18

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

1 Corinthians 12: 2 – 28 (KJV)

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

 9 Another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.

15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked.

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

These gifts are given to help us maneuver through the minefields, distractions, deceptions, to help us fight prophetically now and during some of the most difficult times coming on mankind in the earth.

Ezekiel 33:6 –9 kjv, states, “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

7So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore, thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

8When I say unto the wicked, O wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Nethertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it;

if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.hat delivered thy soul.

This tells us we must stay vigilant, prayerful, always watching, concerned for souls, as things are unfolding in our world. We are to sound the trumpet [raising our voices speaking the end-time prophesy of what will happen before our Lord comes again. Crying aloud, saying repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, while loving on people with wisdom and the integrity of God, realizing we are watchmen, and we are looking out for the salvation of souls.

We, that have been called to be watchmen, can’t hold our peace night or day, good or bad times, or rain or shine. We must say what the Spirit of the Lord is saying in these times, and stand in the gap with fasting, praying, and remain vigilant unto the coming of the Lord. Amen!

There is great preparation for us when we are called to stand in the gap for others.

    Blessings in Jesus (Yeshua) mighty name. Amen!

    This message is so, powerful and right on time. In many areas I see myself with crying loud and sounding the trumpet of warning. Just as our brother Isaiah talked about in the 58th chapter. I am determined that I am going to obey God.
